The short version: the checker works without an account, we collect as little as possible, and this page will always describe — in plain language — anything that changes.
No account required
You never need to create an account or provide personal information to use the laundry checker or read our guides. Your item selections are processed in your browser to produce your recommendation and are not tied to your identity. If you use the "copy share link" feature, your selections are encoded in the link itself so the recipient's browser can rebuild the plan — we do not store them.
What we collect today
The site currently runs without analytics, without advertising, and without tracking cookies. Like nearly all websites, our hosting infrastructure keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and requested page) for security and reliability.
Analytics we may use
We may enable a web analytics service (such as Google Analytics) to understand which pages are useful — page views, approximate location at the city or country level, browser type, and how visitors arrive. Analytics services typically use cookies or similar identifiers to distinguish visits. If we enable analytics, we will update this page first with the specific service, what it collects, and your choices.
Advertising we may use
To keep the site free, we may in the future show advertising through Google AdSense. No advertising is active today, and no advertising script loads on this site today. If advertising is enabled, the following will apply and this section will be updated to say so plainly:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, would use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies (such as the ones associated with personalized advertising) would enable it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Google explains this in its own privacy materials at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Today the site sets no tracking cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; the checker itself works fine without them.
